Pretty in Pink

Today the weather went through multiple changes and so did Sand Point. Men in pink, girls in pink, even dogs in pink. We had our first ever Walk for the Cure and the turnout was great!

Young and old came out to support such a good cause, doning pink garb and eager to hit the road. We started off at the city building and walked to the airport and back, a total of 6 miles roundtrip.

Clarissa and I were just two representing Sand Point Medical Clinic; others that joined us were Thai, Laiv, Berna, and Mami. Of course their families walked too so we had a good representation.

Chloe was dressed in pink from head to toe along with her buddy the bear. What a testimony that these young people are out supporting this wonderful cause. What a tradgedy they have to learn so young and so close to home.
The clouds didn't deter us and over 70 people headed out toward the airport. We were encouraged by the kids running and playing.....

even the dogs were dressed in pink and ready to go, too.....

This is really showing support for a good cause!! The pink cadilac....no Mary Kay sold here!!

We wrapped up with a pizza party and potluck sponsored by Trident Seafood at the city building. Around 100 people finally gathered for the feast and raffle drawing. I was honored to participate in this wonderful cause but I was more proud of the support this community displayed for those affected by cancer and to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
